My entry for the animation art auction. You can buy it in the Science Gallery in Trinity College on the 2nd of November along with lot's of other super awesome art. Money raised will benefit children's charities in Ireland so bid big!

ANNECY 2013

 I attended the Annecy animation festival again this year. I was drunk alot of the time and when the mood struck me, I sketched. Here is the result.

POST BLARG

I have been really lazy with the updates for a while and having seen the blog made it to ten thousand views, I thought it's about time to get my ass moving again. The following are a series of drawings from LIFE DRAWING SESSION 11, 12 and 13. Some of them I hate less than others.

CLASSIC REID

So in work we have a blog and the theme for this month is retrospective so here are two old drawing I did as a child sometime between 93 and 95.

 This one was my first drawing on cel in an animation class run by Tina Mation. Have no idea if she actually goes by that name or if it's just a stage name but you can still check her out here.

Used to love reading Sonic the comic. Richard Elson was my favourite artist and still is one of my top ten. This was my attempt at doing a cover for the comic.

STAR WARS UNCUT

I did a quick animated scene for the new Star Wars Uncut film. 

The film is a project that cuts up The Empire Strikes Back into sections and fans recreate each scene however they like. Mine is below.

UNDERGROUND AWARDS

I submitted my graduate film into Underground Cinema a few months ago and it has actually made it into the finals. There's going to be a fancy award ceremony with dinner and everything. I had best comb my teeth and brush out the crumbs from my beard.

Animation Art Auction 2012

 Yup so I have been pretty lazy with the blog lately but the art auction was a success and we raised 8,500 euro for our chosen charity. Amazing stuff!

Below are a few snippets of the auction if you couldn't make it.

ANIMATION ART SHOW

So here is my submission for the Animation Art Show. 

If you feel the urge to buy it feel free to drop into the Trinity College Science Gallery on the 29th of July.

All money raised will go to Childrens Sunshine Home and Lauralynn Foundation.

Cool animators will be there from all over Ireland with loads of awesome pictures, paintings, sculptures and plushies!
